Jamaican-born but nurtured in South London, Machel’s Caribbean roots run deep and his contact book deeper. He co-founded the Caribbean Cricket Podcast to reach out to the diaspora and share his passion for the game.

From growing up on an estate in South London and surviving one of the worst state schools in the UK, to commentating on cricket at Lords for the BBC and co-founding the Caribbean Cricket Podcast, Santokie’s rise is the stuff of dreams.
He brings his sharp wit and even sharper analysis to the podcast, and his written work has featured in ESPN CricInfo, Wisden, The Nightwatchman, and The Guardian.
